Hi, this is Joel. Shelley keeps telling us all these stories about what's happening to her, but not posting them on her blog. In the last week she has:
Ridden on a yak (she said it was kind, gentle, and hairy).
Ridden her new bike across Chengdu.
Not been impressed by an airplane contrail.
Bought a bowlful of friends.

Shelley, we would love to hear about the yak ride and the fish (you've picked names, I assume) and about your long bike ride. I'm also interested in hearing about your teaching and your students and other such details, but I am sure I am overwhelming you now.
Thanks for telling us about the old man who rode the bus with you. It must be so hard to only know a few words in a language and have so much you want to say.
